Textiles
Wow! What beauty! A joyous balancing act of fanciful fabrics, and bold patterns combined with a kaleidoscope of saturated color dominates this massively scaled bed rendering it positively delicious in every way! Wouldn't you love to climb in, read and relax? I love the celebration of whimsy along with the spectacular compilation of texture and color. This soulfully dressed bed brings everything into focus and screams "happy"! The living spaces to the right and below thrill my senses and yet feel very soothing at the same time. Mixing pattern and bright color with fabric selections on furnishings, in the art and accessories yet maintaining a zen balance with whitewashed walls establishes a dynamic and provocative harmony. I have fallen madly in love with this Boho/Spanish design aesthetic!
Tiles
A treasured memory of traveling to the southwest and to Mexico is being surrounded by beautiful, hand made tiles. I adore the rich mix of pattern, color and texture. The examples I am sharing here showcase a diversity of design as well as a studied and well thought out fascination with color and pattern. These tiles are made virtually everywhere in Mexico by artisans who share their happy joy and skilled vision of beauty. I've been known to pick up several tiles during a trip to keep this great energy close at hand in my home. Though I do not have these tiles embedded permanently, I love using individual tiles in a myriad of ways when I entertain; holding a wine bottle, as coasters or tiny plates for sharing snacks. These tiny jewels add instant festivity to everything! I love giving them as gifts, they always bring a smile in return.

Rosa Mexicano in New York City
A trip to NYC isn't complete without a visit to Rosa Mexicano! Talk about fabulous food and decor! The best anywhere!! My fav location is Union Square . Favorite aspect of this particular location: The expansive cobalt, tiled wall featuring silver metal divers plunging head long down the wall. Pure magic!! These divers are part of a Global Views collection and create an impact that has become a renown design detail in NYC! Ask anyone about the divers or google them and voila; up pops Rosa Mexicano. Next time you are in the city, make time to get there! Yummy and fun!
