Once we've ordered your perfect carpeting, we will discuss the best installation options with you. Does Hollywood or Waterfall make more sense? What's the difference? The Hollywood installation method originated on Hollywood movie sets and involves wrapping the edge of the treat and contouring the nosing to meet the riser. The runner then gets stapled under the nose of the stair, providing a more tailored looking, making it easier for the actors to navigate on set!
A Waterfall installation brings the carpet over the edge of the treat and meets the next treat without fastening it to the riser. This creates a waterfall effect and tends to be more of a glamorous, clean-lined installation than the Hollywood install. This install is more appropriate for thicker carpets that can be harder to rap around the edge of the tread.
